Issue 1
On her first night in the city, Marnie is dressed up in a gothic style by her cousin, Jasmine. Jasmine works as a DJ at a series of nite clubs. She brings Marnie along, and she meets Crystal, while Jasmine is running the turn-tables. Crystal drugs Marnie and takes her to have a ritual performed on her by David. Jasmine follows them, and interrupts the process. Marnie and Jasmine meet the patchwork man, a homeless denizen of the city.
We also learn of Sky, the owner of the clubs in which Jasmine works. A run-away orphan, Sky found solace in books and literature. Sky is the creator of a process in which the raw innocence of victims is made into a recreational drug called ‘Eden’.
